About Jasmine- Therapist in New York
First of all, I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m currently accepting new clients and would love to support you on your path toward growth and healing. I provide individual counseling, couples counseling, and online group therapy for adults and children in New York through secure, accessible virtual sessions.
With over 15 years of experience, I’ve worked with adults and children in schools, residential programs, and community settings. These experiences have shaped my deep belief in the resilience of people and the importance of meeting each person exactly where they are on their mental health journey.
Specializing in anxiety therapy, relationship counseling, and stress management, I focus on helping clients find practical tools and real solutions that fit their lives. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions, my approach is down to earth, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. You won’t find clinical jargon here, just honest conversations, evidence-informed strategies, and a strong partnership built on trust.
I work best with clients who are motivated for change and open to trying new approaches. If that sounds like you or the version of you you’re working toward, I’d love to connect and explore how therapy can support your healing and growth. Specialties and Populations Served
I work with adults and children facing anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, caregiving burnout, and life transitions. I specialize in individual therapy, couples counseling (including LGBTQ+ couples), and supportive group settings. My goal is to meet you where you are and help you find practical, meaningful tools to thrive.
A Little About Me Beyond Therapy
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, snow shoeing, reading, and yoga. I believe that self-care and connection outside of therapy are key parts of a balanced, fulfilling life. I’m always exploring new ways to grow personally and professionally, and I love bringing that energy into my work with clients.
My Therapeutic Approach
I believe therapy should be flexible and personalized, tailored to your unique goals and what you’re navigating. Every session is individualized, drawing from a variety of evidence-based approaches to best support your growth and healing.
Some of the key modalities I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps reframe unhelpful thoughts and build healthier thinking patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on emotional regulation and mindfulness skills. I also incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, emphasizing practical strategies and finding solutions that work for you.
My strengths-based approach builds on what’s already working well in your life to foster resilience and growth, while mindfulness-based techniques encourage present-moment awareness to reduce stress and increase calm. For couples, I utilize methods like the Gottman Method to support improved communication, rebuild trust, and manage conflict in healthier, more connected ways. Additionally, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you accept difficult emotions and commit to actions aligned with your values.
My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and support you in taking small, practical steps toward meaningful change. Therapy with me is active and collaborative, so you’ll leave sessions with real tools and strategies to practice between appointments.
Whether you’re working to reduce anxiety, improve communication, navigate conflict, manage caregiving stress, or build confidence, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
