Group Therapy in New York and New Jersey
You Do Not Have to Figure It All Out Alone
You have been carrying the weight quietly, telling yourself to get it together, or feeling like no one would really understand.
You want support, but maybe individual therapy is not the only answer. Sometimes what we need most is to sit in a virtual room with people who understand, not because they are professionals, but because they have lived it too.
That is where group therapy comes in.
You Are Not Alone, Even When It Feels That Way
Many people join my groups feeling isolated or misunderstood. They have tried books, podcasts, and even therapy, but still feel stuck. What they are really craving is connection, understanding, and shared wisdom from others who truly relate.
It is normal to feel nervous about joining a group.
Will I have to share? Will people judge me? Will I belong here?
The truth is that group spaces can be deeply healing. You will see yourself in others. You will learn new perspectives. You will feel your story make sense and realize you never had to carry it alone.
What to Expect
My groups are small, supportive, and always rooted in safety and respect. Each group runs for four one-hour online sessions with no more than ten participants so everyone has space to be heard if and when they are ready.
From the very first session, you will walk away with:
Practical tools related to the group’s focus
A sense of community and connection with others in similar situations
A space where you do not have to explain or justify your feelings, only show up
Each week we check in on what is working, what needs adjusting, and how you are doing. These groups are not just about talking. They are about learning, growing, and feeling supported.
Examples of Past Group Topics
Managing anxiety and overwhelm
Support for caregivers, especially those caring for someone with cancer or chronic illness
Parenting children with challenging behaviors
Sobriety and recovery support
Mind body connection and nervous system regulation
Groups typically change monthly, and I am always open to hearing ideas for new offerings. If there is a topic or need that is important to you, let’s talk about it.
Is a Group Right for You
If you are feeling alone or misunderstood, stuck in your own head, or simply curious about how others are navigating similar challenges, a group may be a great fit.
You do not have to be outgoing or ready to share everything on day one. You only have to show up. The rest, we do together.
Interested in Joining a Group
New groups are offered each month for residents of New York and New Jersey. If you would like to learn more about current offerings or suggest a topic you would love to see covered, I would love to hear from you.
You do not have to go through this alone. There is a group for you, and a space where you belong.
